Ed has been a strength and conditioning coach for over 20 years working in a variety of sports from professional rugby to Formula 1, is a lead tutor and assessor with the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) and has also served on the UKSCA’s Board of Directors. Ed is seen as a true pioneer in the strength and conditioning profession, not least for his extensive work in bringing the benefits of strength and conditioning to youth sport. More recently he has been fundamental in translating the practice and knowledge available to professional and elite athletes, into the entry-level qualification in strength and conditioning and the new CIMSPA professional standard of “Strength and conditioning trainer”.
