Craig has over 30 years’ experience working with children and young people in the education, sport, health & fitness and childcare industries. He is absolutely committed and determined to help, support and work together to increase children’s activity levels and in turn have a direct positive impact on child’s development and overall wellbeing. He has a relentless passion and belief that by engaging and educating children and young people in physical activity in a fun and inclusive way we can build the healthy habits to change a generation’s health. Craig’s work to help children become more active and to experience excellence in childcare and physical activity includes his role as Chief Child Experience Officer for Junior Adventures Group, the largest provider of out-of-school activities globally for children aged 4-11 years. The group focuses on the growth of the individual, government engagement and, most importantly, delivering amazing, memorable activities, adventures and experiences for children! Craig combines his role at Junior Adventures with support and expertise for ukactive on their Children and Young People activities, delivering strategy and standards to support, protect, inform, represent and help grow participation for children and young people across the sector. This has most recently included work with an advisory group in developing standards and guidance when working with children and young people in leisure facilities, providing insight, guidance co-ordination and operational experience. |
