Brooklyn Fitboxing consolidates its global expansion and revolutionizes the franchise sector with Its new ‘Studio’ model

Brooklyn Fitboxing consolidates its global expansion and revolutionizes the franchise sector with Its new ‘Studio’ model

Brooklyn Fitboxing, the Spanish fitness chain specializing in gamified boxing bag training combined with strength exercises, continues its unstoppable international expansion. After years of sustained growth that have positioned the brand as one of the most solid companies in the sports franchise sector, it is entering this fiscal year with a profound overhaul of its business models. The primary goal of this strategic evolution is to facilitate access to the franchise for both large investors seeking to diversify with a low-risk asset and professionals committed to self-employment in the health and wellness sector.

The company's performance in recent years backs up its solid business model. With a constantly growing global community and patented technology in its boxing bags that has transformed the customer experience, the brand has successfully channeled the high demand for high-intensity workouts into a highly efficient and profitable business. Currently, the chain’s medium-term projection is to reach 500 operational clubs globally, consolidating an international network that is already present in 9 countries.

Evolution toward more accessible and efficient formats

To ensure this pace of growth and adapt to the changing demands of the real estate and financial markets, Brooklyn Fitboxing, which currently has nearly 300 operational locations, has restructured its traditional franchise concepts. The former portfolio, which was divided into the Club, Smart, and Go models, has given way to a much clearer, simplified, and optimized offering: Brooklyn Fitboxing Club and Brooklyn Fitboxing Studio.

This internal evolution has made it possible to substantially reduce the initial investment required to open a center, adjust the optimal size of the premises, and redefine the target audience for the locations. Thanks to this redesign of formats, the brand not only maximizes profitability per square meter in major cities but also becomes highly attractive to local entrepreneurs who wish to run their own business with a much more contained cost structure and a significantly faster return on investment.

‘Brooklyn Studio’: the major bet on the future for 2026

As part of this strategy of diversification and flexibility, the company’s main spearhead for this fiscal year is the definitive launch of the ‘Brooklyn Studio’ model. This innovative concept breaks with the mold of the traditional independent boutique by allowing for the implementation of a fully operational fitboxing corner within an existing sports facility or gym, without the need for extensive construction or the search for a street-level location.

The new format is presented as the main growth driver for the coming years, specifically designed to target different municipalities. These areas represent an untapped suburban market where there is real demand for specialized activities, but where the traditional club model cannot always reach due to scale issues.

By entering a host space that is already equipped, the investment required for the franchisee is drastically reduced to 22,000 euros. Setup, meanwhile, is limited to installing the brand’s own equipment, hiring Brooklyn Fitboxing-certified trainers, and integrating connectivity technology into a compact space of at least 50 square meters, ensuring the corner is ready to operate in just two months.

High profitability and an ambitious expansion plan

Financial data from the first pilot centers in Spain and Italy confirm the success of this new expansion model. Headquarters estimates that a 12-bag “Studio” corner generates an annual EBITDA of around 40,000 euros once it reaches a mature membership of 150, allowing the total investment to be recouped in less than a year and a half. Furthermore, the break-even point is reached immediately, typically in the first month of operation with fewer than 70 members.

The expansion team’s goal for 2026 is to open around twenty ‘Studio’ locations, which will form part of the overall plan for fifty new franchisees planned for the entire year. In the medium term, this format will not only serve to expand the national market into smaller towns but will also become the definitive gateway to accelerating the conquest of new international markets where rental and renovation costs are often a barrier to entry for the traditional boutique model.
