Trecina is a Community Programmes Coordinator with 12 years’ experience supporting people with mental health problems. Trecina has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Health Studies. Her career began in forensic mental health as a Social Inclusion Officer and later progressed to delivering a number of specialist community programmes for local Minds.
Active Wellbeing has seen participants build long term lifestyle changes to become physically active, and subsequently improve a number of physical health measures, including BMI and blood pressure. Trecina advocates for a holistic and collaborative approach to service delivery, with individuals at the core of their journey.
Ultimately, participants are reducing their risk of serious health conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Additionally, participants enhance other aspects of their lives, including mental wellbeing, social connections and personal aspirations, such as obtaining employment.
