Sue Anstiss MBE

Sue Anstiss MBE founded Promote PR in 1994 and is now CEO of the multi-award-winning sports and fitness PR agency.

A former Board Member for both ukactive and Active Partnerships, Sue is a founding Trustee of the Women’s Sport Trust, Chair of Get Berkshire Active and a member the Women in Fitness Association’s UK Council.

Sue has spent the last 25 years raising the profile for thousands of organisations and brands including leisure operators, sports teams, sports NGBS, sports events, charities, training providers, individual athletes, suppliers in sport and fitness – all with the goal to get people healthy and active.

In 2018 Sue was awarded and MBE for her services to grassroots and women’s sport.

Promote constantly delivers on its mission to get more people moving more, with highly effective communications campaigns to drive awareness for sport and physical activity.

Working with leading brands in sport and fitness, the agency has won multiple awards for innovative campaigns in recent years, including five Gold CIPR Awards. Promote PR was twice voted ‘Supplier of the Year’ Award at the ukactive awards.

Sue’s dedication to women’s sport, culminating in her innovative work as a founding director of the Women’s Sport Trust, has made a significant difference to the perception of female athletes, attracting substantial funding and increasing media coverage in the process.

Sue has had a momentous impact on grassroots sports participation in the UK through her selfless, voluntary contributions to leading sports and leisure organisations and charities over 25 years. Thousands more people now take part in sport and physical activity in the UK directly because of Sue’s contributions.
