Emma qualified as a Podiatrist in 2008 and spent 10 years working in the NHS in Bristol before completing a PGCert in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University London in July 2018. She has since moved to the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Gwent to take up a full time position in an innovative MSK podiatry department offering gait analysis, an on onsite lab for custom orthotics, injection therapies, extracorporeal shock wave therapy and an autonomous diagnostic ultrasound service.
Emma’s interests are in hill walking and endurance events, taking part in Ultra marathons. She has provided podiatry support for events ran by the Long Distance Walkers Association and also been involved in medical support for Glastonbury and Reading music festivals, in both emergency first aid and Podiatry.
Plans for future development include further training in medical ultrasound, to become a CASE accredited MSK ultrasound practitioner.
