Emily is the Head of Sport at the Youth Sport Trust, an independent charity devoted to changing young people’s lives through sport.Emily joined the Youth Sport Trust in 2014 as Development Manager for Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering before becoming the Head of Sport in March June 2017.As a qualified teacher, Emily started her career in Somerset where she worked as a PE Teacher before becoming a Partnership Development Manager in Wiltshire, working locally to establish partnerships and identify appropriate strategies to support practitioners and empower the community to engage young people in PE, Sport, and Physical Activity – both as participants and leaders.Alongside studies, and work following involvement in UK Sport IDEALS programme Emily has continued to volunteer as trustee on a small charity Umutima, supporting youth sport and leadership in Zambia.
