Dr Hayley Barton
Hayley Barton joined Access Sport on their Disability Inclusion Programme in 2013. Access Sport are award winning specialists in using the power of sport to combat the discrimination & exclusion that affect disadvantaged and disabled young people on a daily basis.
Hayley leads on Access Sport’s disability inclusion work, which has engaged over 10,000 disabled young people. Access Sport support sustainable community led sports clubs to tackle discrimination head on, equipping volunteers with the expertise to integrate and develop disabled young people on an equal basis with non-disabled young people.
Prior to joining Access Sport Hayley completed a PhD in Sport Psychology at Brunel University and gained extensive research experience across a number of sport for development programmes. Hayley has a keen interest in embedding an inclusive approach to data collection and demonstrating the charity’s impact.
