Dr Andrew Brinkley PhD
Dr Andrew Brinkley is a Research Associate in the School, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University, a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Loughborough College, and a member of the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine. Using mixed methods and working with organisational stakeholders, Andrew’s contemporary research concerns the acceptability, efficacy and feasibility of sports-based interventions for working age and older adults. His PhD investigated the promotion of team sport within a range of industries across the UK. As a research associate, Andrew is involved in evaluating the England Netball’s Walking Netball programme for members of the Women Institute. Andrew has published his work in leading journals such as Journal of Sport Sciences and Sports Medicine and presented his research at conferences and to the population it seeks to serve through research consortiums and public engagement events. Andrew is an invited expert reviewer for high quality periodicals and has chaired and spoken at national and international conferences.
