The benefits of yoga and mindfulness for wellbeing

There is a growing corpus of research supporting yoga's benefit in the enhancement of well-being and the prevention and management of chronic long-term mental and physical health conditions. With this emerging research base, its increasing popularity, and its ability to seamlessly work with all aspects of the person; yoga is increasingly being integrated into health care. In this experiential talk, we will review some of the physiological benefits associated with yoga, explain its related efficacy in different health conditions, and learn some basic and powerful practices that can be done by almost anyone to re-balance and strengthen the nervous system.
