Opening Keynote Address: Our Sporting Future, today

Wednesday 9th May - 10:30-10:40

When it was unveiled in 2015, the government’s Sporting Future strategy set out a new vision to redefine what success looks like in sport. This new vision focused on five key outcomes: physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, individual development, social and community development, and economic development.

In this important keynote speech, Tracey Crouch MP – Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Sport and Civil Society – will explore progress made since the strategy was first released in December 2015, and examine how the physical activity and health sectors can continue to work together to achieve an active nation.

In doing so, the Minister will set the tone for what promises to be a full and varied two-day programme of debate and discussion around the challenges facing the health, wellbeing and physical activity sector. This is a don’t-miss opening session of the Elevate 2018 Conference.
