Innovative approaches to big builds

Thursday 9th May 13:55 - 14:35

This session will explore exceptional case studies seeking to deliver state of the art facilities fit to meet the needs of the community – offering excellent design and quality.

Exeter’s new £26m leisure complex will feature an eight lane main pool and four lane pool for learners, plus a confidence pool, 150 station gym, soft play area, café and crèche and extensive health and spa facilities. It will be the UK’s first leisure centre built to super-efficient low energy Passivhaus standards, delivering a saving of at least 70% in energy consumption over a standard UK leisure centre.
