Exploring cross border opportunities in European health and fitness

Thursday 18th June 13:00 - 13:40

With the number of investors interested in this sector continually increasing, and a currently highly fragmented market, it’s hardly surprising that we’re starting to see more mergers & acquisitions both within the UK and across borders in Europe. In addition, operators are looking to expand into new geographies through organic development.

But what are the main trends driving international expansion, and how do we see this evolving?

In this session, we’ll explore themes including; local greenfield expansion, cross border consolidation, the impact of the rapidly evolving ‘boutique’ sub-sector, the available capital to fund these expansion opportunities and what impact this is having on the multiples being paid.

We will also hear what our panel think are the main challenges they face in developing international businesses, as well as what their predictions are for how the landscape will evolve over the next 5 years.
