Understanding how to demonstrate social value
Wednesday 17th June 10:05 - 10:45
The Government's sports strategy placed a lot of importance on the social value of sport and physical activity – and the role it can play in achieving social good will become of greater importance to the sector over the coming years.
Improving people’s physical and mental health is just one example of social good, but physical activity and sport can also provide a wider social value – such as helping individuals steer clear of crime or helping young people to develop key skills that will help them get employed.
Organisations who want to access public money will increasingly have to meet these new these new outcomes - demonstrating how their activities will help promote social value.
This session will explore the concept of social value, how it can be measured and demonstrated.
