Measuring and understanding participation in the Public Sector

Thursday 13th June 13:45 - 14:20

Collaborate

Sport England’s Moving Communities is driven by the largest data set ever gathered for the local leisure sector and was initially launched in March 2021 to support the National Leisure Recovery Fund. The data gathered enables local authorities, leisure providers and policymakers to understand their performance and how this compares with national, operational and nearest neighbour benchmarks, as well as informing strategic decisions about where time, effort and money are best invested to benefit local communities and the audiences most in need of help.

DoingOurBit shines the light on prevention by championing health and wellness for the NHS and social care’s most precious commodity – its employees. It began life as a passion-project in Covid-19, supporting 190 colleagues in the West Midlands to stay active and connected. This year it expects to engage with 500,000 NHS and social care workers, supporting them with classes, content and community.

In this session, David Monkhouse from Active Insight brings together key players and partners from both organisations to discuss what it means to get people moving, evidence the good we do, and grow content, knowledge and awareness of powerful public sector projects.
