The presentation “EMS: Evolution or Revolution” is an introduction to the Electrical muscle stimulation technology, covering the background of the technology itself, its physiological impact, as well as the business concepts and the growth of the EMS Industry. We will start our presentation with an in-depth explanation of the science behind the EMS technology, such as the scientific definition of the training method and the unique characteristics of the recruitment pattern of muscle fibers. We will then focus on the EMS Industry worldwide, the population that currently works with the EMS training technology, and the business concepts. Finally, we will have a look at the characteristics of electrical muscle stimulation devices and an analysis of the future of the EMS industry.

Since 2013 I have been working as a International Master Trainer for XBody Headquarters, presenting the EMS TrainingTechnology in all the major global Fitness Expos and certifying trainers across 5 continents. The years working as anInternational Master Trainer have given me the opportunity to experience the growth of the EMS Industry worldwide, and closely follow the different steps of the expansion of a market, from the initial launch to becoming an established sector of the Fitness Industry.
In 2018 I have received the responsibilities of the Latin-American markets as well as Spain and Portugal as an International Business Developer for XBody Headquarters, specializing in the acquisition of new Distribution Partners and strategic Partnerships. With the FDA approval of our product in 2019, XBody USA as a subsidiary of XBody International has started distributing our EMS Training Technology in the United-States and I have been managing our operations in the United States since 2021.
As an acting member of the German Institute for Standardization DIN Committee NA 112 (NASport), NA 112-01-10 AA Fitness-Studios I have been able to cooperate with representatives of the fitness industry and the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) to further define the work frame for the usage of the EMS Training technology in the German market.
