Reform RX

Reform RX is a connected fitness Pilates equipment company, founded by Yvette and Neal McGaffin in 2018. After running a successful reformer Pilates boutique studio business in locations across the UK, together they set out on a mission to reinvent and reimagine how the world views reformer Pilates and revolutionize the existing offering.

Partnering with Grove Design, based in the English countryside of Hertfordshire, they brought their design brief – a Pilates reformer that looked like a concept Formula One car combined with enhanced functionality – to reality, with the creation of the RX reformer.

The RX reformer is the only commercial grade, digitally-connected Pilates reformer.

Ergonomically designed, the RX reformer elevates the functionality of a traditional reformer. Bespoke innovations and hardware features include a built-in Pilates Chair for two-in-one apparatus, an adjustable 20 position footbar, a two-step rear platform, and push-button controlled spring resistance.

Integrating technology into the reformer for the first time, the RX is equipped with a 21.5-inch, sweat-resistant ultra-HD touchscreen tablet, offering users access to an ever-growing library of 100+ results-driven workouts, with new classes added every week. Led by industry leading instructors, including celebrity trainers Andrea Speir, Kourtney McCullough, and Lucas Lombardo, the RX library features three class categories: Cardio, Flexibility and Strength, and a dedicated How-To section that includes 5–10-minute guides that are curated to build the user’s confidence and form around individual exercises, and 5 minute warm up and cool down sets.

With workouts ranging from 5-60 minutes in duration, all of which include beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, the RX platform is designed to provide users with a personalized and unrivalled workout experience. Classes can be filtered based on multiple user preferences including preferred instructor, the use of additional equipment, target body focus, music, and more. Its Community feature allows users to follow other RX users and bookmark which classes they’re taking.

Equipped with unique, built-in data tracking capabilities, the RX monitors and records user movement to the thousandth of a second, and stores key biometrics including total calories burned, peak power and total power output. Compatible with WHOOP and Polar heart-rate monitoring devices, the RX will display the user’s heart rate both in real-time and as part of the post workout analysis.

Bluetooth compatible, users can pair their headphone or air pods with the RX for a truly immersive, in-class experience. The RX also comes with casting capabilities, offering users the option to cast on-screen content to a secondary screen in the same room.

Reform RX headquarters is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, along with a purpose-built filming studio where all content for the RX platform is produced. The company also operates a premium boutique reformer studio and filming location in Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach CA.
