Workplace wellness programmes have the potential to increase productivity, decrease absenteeism and raise employee morale – creating a healthier more engaged workforce. Employees spend a large portion of their time at work, making the workplace an ideal setting to address health and wellness issues – benefitting both the employer and employee. This session will explore effective approaches to promoting workplace wellbeing, how to deliver true impact and value through the workplace – examining organisational culture and environment; measuring and maximising return on investment; driving engagement and impact; and whether the focus should be tackling sickness or optimising performance.

Ken is Director of KvS Performance Ltd. and an expert consultant in human health and performance.

KvS Performance Ltd. helps clients in sport and business achieve success through strategy, culture and innovation, and delivers new product innovation in the health, wellness & fitness sector.

Previously, Ken led the GSK Human Performance Lab, an innovation centre dedicated to exploring the limits of human performance and driving innovation in healthcare. Ken was Director of Sports Sciences at the English Institute of Sport (EIS), leading sport science support to British sports and athletes through the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Ken has a PhD in Sport & Exercise Physiology, is a Visiting Professor at Northumbria University and St. Mary’s University, and is a Fellow of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (FBASES).
