Many of the athletes of today have vastly different world experiences to that of their coaches and support teams. Our millennial athletes are stronger, faster and better - and are achieving record results – yet the millennial generation is often described as entitled, protected, confident and better connected than ever before – and their sporting experiences will be different from earlier generations. In an age of instant gratification – what motivates today’s millennial and post-millennial generation of athletes? How can coaches better understand what makes athletes tick – so they can continually adapt, stay connected and relevant and coach and engage with them accordingly.
