Prescribing movement for Cancer

Wednesday 8th May 12:50 - 13:30

Increased physical activity in those with cancer (before, during and after treatment) delivers many benefits, from assisting cancer related fatigue, reduction in the length of hospital stays, helps with anxiety and restoration of wellbeing, reduces post operative complications and improves physical function and quality of life. This session will explore the evidence and discuss barriers to physical activity for patients with cancer diagnosis and how this can be addressed through the Moving Medicine Platform, whilst exploring a range of case studies for activating and working with patients.
