Everybody active everyday: the role of the health professional

Wednesday 8th May 09:50 - 10:30

One of the corner stones to helping the population into every day activity – are the professionals who can influence us during those pivotal “touchstone” moments. Public Health England and Sport England are committed to working with healthcare staff, as trusted and influential professional who can convey the many merits of physical activity - helping the public to achieve the UK CMOs’ recommended physical activity levels optimising their health and wellbeing. This session will explore the core components of the Moving Health Professionals programme developed in partnership with the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, an innovative online resource developed with over 300 healthcare professionals and charities to provide access to the latest evidence on how to have conversations with patients to get more physically active.
