Youth Sport Trust - Using world class athletes as mentors to develop a mentally healthy school - open session - room 15SG
Thursday 9th May 11:00 - 12:00
Young people report school and social pressures as a causative factor in the development of poor mental health. The ability successfully to cope with pressure is multi-factorial and relies on holistic behaviour change. Elite athletes are uniquely placed to motivate this change, using story and experience to develop in young people improved lifestyle behaviours and coping strategies.
This workshop will showcase both the evidence base and the tools shared with young people to develop their own resilience and the creation of a mentally healthy school.
