Elevate 2024: A Record-Breaking Success To Boost the UK's Physical Activity Sector
01 July 2024: Returning to London for its 7th edition, Elevate 2024 surpassed expectations, with more than 6,000 visitors travelling to ExCeL London for two days of free education, unbeatable networking and product sourcing opportunities. Celebrating a 15% increase in attendance, 2024 marks the event's most impactful year yet, hosting the who's who of the UK's physical activity, wellbeing, and sports sectors for an unprecedented gathering of industry experts.
Alongside an established exhibition of the industry's top suppliers, Elevate prides itself on offering visitors the most comprehensive free education programme in the industry, and this year's offering was no different. The event featured 11 stages, over 200 speakers and 130 hours of content. Many sessions were filled to standing room only, underscoring the event's influence and relevance to the sector.
The DEBATE stage kicked off proceedings with a series of opening keynotes discussing the industry's future around the theme 'Re-drawing the industry: has the picture changed'. Contributions included Tara Dillon at CIMPSA, Huw Edwards at ukactive, and Rachel Young at Myzone.
Supported by Education Partner Future Fit, the main stages at Elevate went on to host discussions on a wide range of topics, including the business of fitness, community engagement, getting kids active, health promotion, sustainability, and the latest trends in personal training and injury recovery.
Speaking about this year's event, Lucy Findlay-Beale, Event Director, Elevate, said: "Our key objective for building and developing Elevate has always been for the show to be the catalyst for a thriving and united physical activity & fitness sector. Through the innovation on the show floor and the education in the conference, visitors leave Elevate with the tools to drive progress, ignite business growth and raise the importance and standard of physical & mental health."

The Include Summit made a significant impact by bringing essential equity, diversity, and inclusion content to the forefront of the program.
This continued with the launch of the "Leading the Way to Inclusion" survey by Europe Active and RISE. This pivotal DEI report sets new benchmarks for fostering inclusivity within the sector, providing valuable insights and strategies for industry leaders.
Elevate 2024 also saw the introduction of its Sustainability Trends Report, created in partnership with 4Good. This report highlights the latest trends and practices for a greener future, demonstrating Elevate's dedication to environmental responsibility.
Looking ahead
The success of Elevate 2024 is already paving the way for next year's event. Rebooking for 2025 has started strong, indicating the industry's enthusiasm and commitment to continuous growth and innovation. Formal program research will commence in the autumn, focusing on enhancing the health agenda. Additionally, technology and AI sessions will join the main conference, reflecting the evolving landscape of the industry and the popularity of these topics in 2024. Next year's exhibition will also see a greater emphasis on sport and outdoor activities, alongside the continuation of the highly successful Active Kids and Active Aquatics theatres, both of which debuted this year to great acclaim. Elevate 2025 will also have a more targeted approach to the Health Agenda, working with key players to continue to bridge the gap between physical activity, health and longevity.
During the event, Organisers also announced their intention to launch Elevate India, scheduled to take place in Mumbai on 27-28 of February 2025. The first B2B event dedicated to the fitness sector in India, Elevate will support this rapidly developing industry through a vibrant exhibition and two carefully curated education theatres.
Elevate India will benefit from the expertise and influence of the experienced team behind Elevate UK, who are working in collaboration with India Active and Inter Rads Exhibitions, to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional experience for all.
Samir Kapoor, President of India Active, explains: "I am thrilled that Elevate, the biggest and most respected fitness expo in the UK, has decided to enter the Indian market. This will be a game changer for the industry, and we look forward to this one-of-a-kind event where the best suppliers and buyers in the industry will be found under one roof."
