RCGP Clinical Champion for Physical Activity and Lifestyle
Andrew is a GP partner in south London, with experience in medical education, leadership, social prescribing and lifestyle medicine. He has a particular interest in the vital role physical activity plays in the context of health and wellbeing. He is the joint national lead for the RCGP ‘Physical Activity & Lifestyle’ clinical priority, and taught doctors as part of the PHE Clinical Champions programme until recently. The aim of the RCGP clinical priority is to educate and empower GPs nationwide to motivate all of their patients to get more active, through effective partnerships within their community. The team have developed an open access online Toolkit, and are launching the 'Active Practice' initiative later this year. In his spare time Andrew enjoys going fast on one of his many bicycles!
